The main goal of the campaign is raising the awareness among Polish citizens concerning their behaviour in the forest and its vicinity to avoid fire risk.

- The task of the 5 person teams of the participants was creating a broad educational project on one of the given topics:
1) "Aware of the risk – forest fire and biodiversity"
2) "Aware of the risk - forest fire as a threat to human life"
3) "Aware of the risk – forest fire and forest management"
4) "Aware of the risk – forest fire and how to react"
5) "Aware of the risk – forest fire and what actions we can undertake".

219 projects have been sent from all over Poland. The jury qualified 185 works for further evaluation. Each project included a multimedia presentation, photo gallery and a short film, which was also published on youtube. The jury sessions took place on May 11th and 15th , 2012 in Warsaw. The winners were selected after flaming debates, we are meeting them in the given regions – reveals Łukasz Przybyłek, manager of the LIFE+ realization team.

The projects presented during the finals by the young people from 10 voivodships in Poland we can safely call a professional training in information policy. The teenagers produced films on forest fires as well as promoting spots. They have pursued informative campaigns in their boroughs, villages, schools and infant schools. Cooperation has been introduced with local authorities as the professional and volunteer fire brigade, local governments, boroughs, Housewife societies, priests, influential people in those areas. Hand-made posters and leaflets, their placement and distribution, the organisation of meetings with inhabitants of rural areas – all these actions were started and concluded by the contestants.
The emotional depth of the films and advertising spots could easily inspire creative directors of professional PR companies how to produce effective publicity. Young people prepared also articles for local papers and webpages dedicated to the project's realisation. In schools special editions of wall newspapers appeared.
All the informative campaigns were preceded and concluded by surveys concerning the forest fire risk awareness. It appeared in all cases that the recipients' levels of knowledge were significantly raised by the campaign.
- These projects showed us that teenagers connect nowadays via modernly designed pictures and communication. It is a challenging task to meet their requirements and reach them with our message. It is worth noticing that the source of information about forests and foresters for young people is the internet. The next step in searching for knowledge is the direct contact with foresters – explains Marcin Gołębiowski, the project manager.
